Go Sens Go!

March 25, 2015

Monday

When we got up this morning we ran over several options for our day. Looking at the weather, it was a rainy day pretty much everywhere, even on the gulf coast. We finally came up with a plan, which was to leave our room at the Hilton by check out time in the morning and head out to get something to eat and then return. Our parking sticker was good until 8 pm and we figured we could use our key to gain access to the beautiful pool and hot tub area, knowing another guest would let us in, as long as we had the key in our hand. The air was warm and it was not raining hard, just enough to not be a good beach day. We also considered one of the many Theme Parks here, but really felt enjoying the Hilton image

imagesome more was our best option. Off we went out for lunch, back to Firehouse Subs which is so tasty and we hung there for awhile and met a really interesting guy, Aaron, who is only 32 and again has made such a success of himself with all his business ventures, which was inspiring to Bryan who is the same age. Nice guy! In the same mall he took us to his TOM and CHEE franchise he is getting ready to open..a tomato soup and grilled cheese franchise here in the States. I can hardly imagine the donut with bacon and mozzarella cheese topped with a chocolate bar? he talked about!!! Back to the Hilton and we relaxed by the pool for a few hours. Lots of people by the pool doing the same thing and we hated to leave but we had to ..no more Air Miles points to stay there. When I asked at the front desk what was the cheapest room..it was $229 US plus tax!!!!! Not in our budget. It is March Break here, so all the hotels are pretty full, but Bryan got us a great deal on Hotwire at a Ramada Inn for $52 CDN, taxes in, for the next 2 nights, so off we went. We stopped at a Jimmy John’s, which is one of Bryan’s favourites eateries, on our way. I love the signs they have posted on the walls ..love sayings like that. Checked in, showered etc, tried to get the Sens game on the tv..no luck, so quick showers and we headed out to Buffalo Wings Bar and Grill and we watched the game while downing delicious wings and Coca-Cola!! GO SENS GO!!! Back to our room on a double high!πŸ˜„
