Bye to beautiful Budapest, as we drove through the Hungarian plains to Vienna, Austria. Pretty countryside, once again, with lots of lush green fields and many wind turbines generating electricity. No nuclear power in Hungary. Once we arrived in Vienna, we did the city tour immediately, driving around the elegant Ringstrasse and seeing so many historic landmarks and a walking tour, where we visited the breathtaking St. Stephen’s Cathedral, where Mozart was married, and so many other sites.  Soon we were delivered to our new hotel to get settled in. For the first time, I took the time to read the hotel information booklet and saw that there is a SPA here. I really did not have time before, it seems, but we brought our bathing suits on the trip so we headed to the SPA floor, being amazed at how peaceful and well designed it is and immediately hopped into the whirlpool and relaxed there for a long time, just the 2 of us laughing and chatting about so many things! Time flew and before we knew it, it was suppertime and we were to meet with a couple from the tour to head out to a pizza restaurant close by. We had a delicious meal ( no more weiner schnitzel for me, thank you) and fun with our tour friends, then headed back to the hotel for some more relaxing in our room.  We did some Vienna research online and Trevor managed to download a couple of funny shows, which we watched, before shutting the lights. Tomorrow we will “get our groove on” and do more touring of Vienna, the capital of Austria!
