23 Million – May 13

May 14, 2012

Mid-morning Trevor and I took the metro back down to the Bund; the People’s Place and Nanjing Road. We bought tickets for the hop on-hop off tour bus and enjoyed seeing the city from the top of the double decker bus with commentary. We then walked around alot and then jumped on the metro to go to Shanghai Circus World to purchase tickets for the Monday evening show. Back to Alex’ to get our backpacks and then once again onto the impressive metro filled with masses of people at all times of the day crisscrossing this city of  23 million!! people. About 6:15pm we arrived to the suburbs to meet our new CS host; Phil, another incredible young man who welcomed us to his beautiful home that he owns at only age 26. It was a little bit of an adventure tracking his place down and that is what makes this trip so enjoyable; every day there are new surprising adventures! KFC across the street from Phil’s and after hitting Pizza Hut for lunch I have to say we failed on the Chinese food circuit today!

    Hi Kathy and Trevor

Glad you were able to get the blog back. Sorry I am not tech savy! I cant imagine being in a place with 23 million when you consider this country has only 33.5 million.

Enjoy your adventures. We have fun reading them.

    Regards, Marg and Greg xoxoxoxo
